Karli Stoltzfus – Business Management Internship

My name is Karli Stoltzfus and I am an intern at Clark Associate The Restaurant Store. The store is located at 2209 Old Philadelphia Pike. Working in the store has been very eye-opening to me for many different reasons. I am so glad that I had this opportunity to learn about business and how they function.

My daily routines have varied depending on what they want me to learn or see that day. My first few days were getting to know the store and where items are at and helping check out customers. Then they started putting me with stocking shelves, unloading truck shipments and making room in the store for new orders that we got. I enjoy that a lot more than only checking out customers and helping them the whole time I am there.

From this experience, it has taught me so much about how businesses can push themselves to get better and how to keep growing. Clark was awarded for being the fastest growing business within a year. They constantly are looking for new opportunities, even in the store the employees want people to come back and they make sure every customer enjoys their experience.

All in all, taking this internship has helped me a lot in finding my future. Getting out into the business world and experiencing a business environment has shown me the path I want to take after I graduate high school.
