Another school year has begun! The beginning of the year is always exciting and it is so great to see the students after their summer break. They enjoy being back with friends, making new friends, and enjoying all the opportunities New Holland Elementary has to offer. In the Library, we love welcoming students back and look forward to sharing all the new books we have added to the collection. It seems that everyone has a favorite type of book they enjoy and whether that is fantasy, mystery, historical fiction, sports, realistic fiction, or nonfiction, the Library has something for everyone.
Students in grades K-2 who come to Library Special learn about books and authors. Students in Grade 3 learn how to use the Library catalog and how to use some of our digital learning tools. Students in Grade 4-6 focus on research skills and do a variety of research projects using print and digital resources. It is always a pleasure for me to work with all the students in the school and watch them grow and learn. I want all students to enjoy the Library and to become life-long readers. Happy Reading!
