What does it mean to be a responsible consumer?
What does it mean to be a responsible consumer? Being a responsible consumer means only taking the amount of food you can eat and only buying what you will eat. It’s also always recycling, reusing, and repairing what you can.
Examples: *You saw that a gallon of milk in your fridge was about to
expire, and you made sure to drink the rest of it quickly.
* You were in the grocery store and saw a sale on a family size bag of your favorite chips, but knew you and your family wouldn’t be able to finish it before they went stale or expired, so you didn’t buy them.
Non-Examples
*You saw a gallon of milk in your fridge was almost expired and you wouldn’t be able to finish it, so you threw it out.
*You were in the grocery store and saw a sale on your favorite family size bag of chips, but you knew that you probably wouldn’t finish them, but loved them so much so bought it anyway.
I like that you gave examples on how you can be a responsible consumer. I wish you would have included more information about being a responsible consumer. I wonder if you enjoyed writing this?
