Antsy Adventure!
Antsy Adventure!
On a nice, warm Sunday afternoon my family and I went on a hike. The park was called Speedway Forge County Park, Lititz. We intended to walk a 3 mile loop. But it turned out to be way crazier than we had thought. So we started our hike in a bit of a situation. It was super muddy because it had rained the previous days, but we dealt with it. Then we came across a HUGE cornfield. As we continued it was like a roller coaster. Sometimes it would be really downhill. Then it would go super uphill that it started to hurt our knees and thighs.
Then we kept going, we came across a few fishers and other adventurous hikers. Oh, also to mention basically the whole time we were following a stream. Eventually we came across a ridiculously muddy patch, almost like quicksand. My mom was keeping track on her phone how far we had walked. We kept going uphill then downhill, uphill then downhill. We had reached 3.2 miles. All of us were very confused. But we just kept going along the red marks on the trees. Then it got tiring because we achieved 4 and a ½ miles, which got us frustrated. But, hallelujah we saw our car and raced to swing open the doors.
We hopped in and went to the British Pub for dinner. After dinner we went to an italian/ice cream place for dessert. I got milk and cookies ice cream. My sister got moose tracks in a waffle cone. We all went home and relaxed for the rest of the day. All of us had finally gotten back from this antsy adventure!
