Spring is a great time to read something just for fun and the LMC has lots of great books for readers, no matter where your interests lie.Deb Caletti is always a great teen girl writer. You may have loved her in The Six Rules of Maybe or Stay. If so, you’ll want to read her latest book, The Last Forever, featuring Tessa, whose mother recently died and whose father thinks an impromptu road trip is the answer. At first that doesn’t seem like a great idea, but then Henry enters the picture and things look different. Are they better?

Science Fiction readers may want to check out Robin Wasserman’s book, The Waking Dark. You may recognize her as the author of the books Skinned, Crashed, and Wired. Something is waking in the quiet town of Oleander, Kansas and it is not good. People are dead and there are only 5 people who have a chance of stopping the destruction before the whole town is gone. They really have no other option but to stand and fight the darkness in their town and in themselves.
The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes is another great read.

Adventure addicts will like the newest Artemis Fowl book – The Last Guardian by Eoin Colfer or any of the 12 books in the Ranger’s Apprentice series by John Flannigan.
The Living by Matt de la Pena is high adventure at every turn. It begins on a cruise ship with a man overboard, and escalates with an interrogation and search, compounded by a tsunami and even when you survive all of that, you are still not safe. The worst is yet to come.
Another great adventure book is Hostage Three by Nick Lake, which involves Somali pirates.
Stop in the LMC to check out any of these titles or choose from our great collection of lots more!
