The Legend Of The Lost Lion

Once upon a time there was a Lion that was named Leo and he was never found because he was always lost in his lair in the deep Lost Jungle. It was called the Lost Jungle because only the animals who were always lost would live there. There was also lots of legends about Leo the Lion who always was in the Lost Jungle because even he himself could never find a way out of someplace, especially the Lost Jungle.
One of the Legends that is most popular to all of the animals living near the Lost Jungle is, One day this settler trying to find new land was coming through this part of the area and suddenly saw that there was a beautiful Jungle in front of him. Then, suddenly he saw something scramble across the leafy floor of the Jungle and he wanted to investigate and see what it was. All of the sudden, he slipped into a deep deep hole and that was how he was never seen again by anyone not even the animals nearby. Then one day, Leo came along…. Duh, he was lost so he just kept wandering on and all of the other animals noticed but they didn’t dare walk a step closer to the Lost Jungle. This is because they knew about the legend and mostly all of those animals didn’t want to find out if it was true.
The problem was that Leo did not know about the legend and he probably would have forgotten it while he had all of his other “lost” thoughts floating around his mind so he wouldn’t be able find that thought anywhere. That is also a reason why he is always lost!
Since Leo never even knew about this legend, he just kept walking toward the Lost Jungle and suddenly, he fell in with a surprising fall. Then, the other animals who knew and had learned about Leo the Lion all said, “Well, I guess he’ll never learn especially with that lost mind he has!”
Leo didn’t know what was going on, because of that lost mind of his. When he got to the bottom he saw something terrible! He saw an amazing jungle with dead trees and swamps. But of course he forgot about it the second after. As he walked along he all saw some of the tangled vines in this jungle known as the Lost Jungle. Even though the Lost Jungle was such a lost adventure, Leo just wanted to go home.
He tried to climb out of the hole, but he kept slipping. Finally he got out of the hole and went home to his den. The next day he went outside and almost fell in the hole again! So after that he ran out of the Lost Jungle and went away to his den and started off exploring again through his LOST, lost mind….
That was how the Legend of The Lost Lion was appearing through all of the nearby animals.

I hope you had a good week. I hope you had a great ‘blogging’ week. Just to check are you prepared for the commenting game that will be coming up as part of the Student Challenge in a couple of weeks?
1. Have you at least 5 other student blogs linked on the sidebar of your blog; blogs from other students around the world, not just those in your class or school. I see you have done this.
2. Do you have a blogroll or link category called Global students or Global classes. I put a link about how to do this in my previous message. Great I see you have done this too.
So Ms. Wyatt’s essentials in a great post are below. I have added whether I think you have achieved this in your most recent post:
1. A catchy title – The Legend of the Lost Lion is … because there is alliteration in the title…words beginning with the same letter.
2. At least one visual (with attribution) whether photo, cartoon, video or another web 2.0 tool like padlet or glogster. I like your picture. It needs attribution though.
3. An interesting topic with your passion for the subject coming through. Yes, I thought it was interesting and your interest in nature and story telling shone through.
4. A post that is well written and not copy/pasted from somewhere else. Yes this was original.
5. A post has been proofread and spellchecked. Except for giving legend a capital letter at one point, it is fine.
6. One that is written in paragraphs – at least three of them. Good.
7. One that includes links to other websites on similar topics – at least two of these. Many students are not doing this. There is a good trick to get people to read more of your blog and to stay longer. You could say, and if you enjoyed this post by me, why not read … and leave a link to another post.
So you have achieved a good score. Ms.Wyatt says that if your post covers the seven things mentioned above e.g. has a catchy title, includes at least one visual etc. etc., it will be added to the flipboard magazine. If you added the attribution it would be really good and get seven out of seven.
Could you make this changes so that it would score full marks?
When you have done that, Ms. Wyatt suggests you go to the blogging challenge and leave a comment on this post.
