Yellow volunteer papers due this week

Hello parents,

I hope you enjoyed the two extra days you had your students home.

Adults attending our DC trip, who are not currently on our volunteer list at New Holland Elementary, need to return the yellow volunteer form sent home last week.

Hope you have a nice week,

Mrs. Tran

DC trip papers and 4 day week

Hello parents,

Just a reminder that DC trip papers are due Monday, Feb. 9. Our trip is not until Friday, May 15, but we need to figure out how many spots to reserve on the buses for adults.

Also, your children do not have school this Friday, Feb. 13 and Monday, Feb. 16. Enjoy the long weekend with your sixth graders.  🙂

Have a great week,

Mrs. Tran

DC trip reminder / early dismissal

Hello parents,

Please remember that your DC trip form is due by next Monday, Feb. 9th.

Hopefully, the snow will hold off and we will have a full week of classes.

Also, don’t forget that Wednesday is an early dismissal day for your child.

Have a great week,

Mrs. Tran

Report cards and DC trip

Hello parents,

Your child will bring home the second quarter report card Monday. Please check it out and email me if you have any questions.

Also, in the report card envelope, you will find information about our Washington, DC trip. Please make sure you return the information by Feb. 9th.

Hope you have a nice week!

Wonder assembly

Hello parents,

This week our students will meet some very special visitors during a Friday assembly.

Our whole school has read the touching book “Wonder.” In this book, one of the main themes is to “choose kindness.”  I have referenced this book often during our class meetings and language arts class.

On Friday, we will have the opportunity to meet Danny and Lentil. I won’t give too much away, but I am sure our students will share with you information about our wonderful assembly.

In school news, we are starting our 4th math unit this week as we begin the third quarter.

Be sure to check the homework tab for daily assignments.

Hope you have a great week!

Math Test this week

Hello parents,

This Friday, students will take their unit 3 math test. Students were given a study guide today that needs to be completed by Wednesday. We will spend Wednesday and Thursday reviewing information that will be on the test.

Happy New Year!

Hello Parents.

Happy New Year! I hope that you and your family enjoyed your break.

This week, look for your child to bring home a copy of some recent grades. Please sign the grade report and return to school. If you have any questions, please email me.

In addition, please check out the Homework tab for a weekly update of homework assignments. Please remember that homework can change occasionally. I will try to update the listing as soon as possible if that occurs, so that you have an accurate list of assignments.

Thanks so much for your help.
