Life Cycle: the sequence of life stages  

With this we will investigate and look into different life cycles, including both plants and animals! Students will put together and assemble the different cycles so that it shows the sequence of events. With learning the sequences, we will know that animals and plants have steps and different components they must complete in order to develop. We will even compare different life cycles, like a pumpkin seed, a butterfly and a frog.

In this unit, we will focus on the following words that will help us understand life cycles and life science better: life cycle, cycle, seedling, germinate, inherit, traits.

At the end of the unit, we will be able to:

1) Identify a plant or animal based on a given life cycle stage. (S.K-2.B.1.1.2)
