Why we should have pets in school

Have you ever had a pet that can help you reduce stress? There is a debate that pets should or should not be in school. We should have a pet day at school because pets reduce stress and support your health.

First, we should have a pet day at school because school can cause stress and pets can reduce stress. Authors Elizabeth Scott and Sean Blackburn say that dogs can help make you more social. This means that there will be less stress because dogs can make you more social and have more friends. The same authors say that if you spend more time with your pet, it can make your life better. Same as a stress ball, you pet the dog and the softness makes your stress go away. For these reasons, having a pet at school can help reduce stress.

Second, we should have a pet day at school because pets support your health. The same authors say that pets can help control your blood pressure. This means that stress brings blood pressure up and pets can bring it down. The same authors say that pets can help with depression. This shows that you can be happy and pets can  help with your mental health. This is why we should have a pet day at school because pets support your health.

People say pets will be to distracting, but this is not true. Authors Kal Lundgren, Lawrence Robinson, and Robert Segal say that pets help reduce anxiety. The dogs method to reducing stress is to being hugged and hugging a dog is not a long distraction. The same authors say that dogs provide “positive, nonverbal communication.” pets would not be distracting because some people have pets that are trained to not be distracting. For these reasons, pets would not be distracting at school.

In conclusion, we should have a pet day at school because pets reduce stress and can help your health. Pets also help make you so social. This is why we should have a pet day at school.
