Write the World’s Best Comments! Blog Challenge Week 2

Do you want to know how to make the world’s best comments? Here are some ways you can make it happen. You can specify what information you’re commenting on like if someone writes a story, specify what part you are commenting on. You also want to stay positive and keep the author positive, too. If you write something negative, the author might not write as great or try and write past their limits. Also, you might want to write something true (fact time!) and make sure what you are writing hasn’t already been written in another comment. Making connections with a writer is another way to make commenting better. Imagine that a writer writes about something they did over the summer and you did the same thing. You should make that connection and see what they write back. You should also ask questions and get a conversation going. When you ask questions, the author should write back any answer they have. Remember to proofread your comments and make sure that at the beginning of every sentence there should be a capital letter and grammar should be checked, too. Don’t forget to leave your URL to have the author check out your things, too.

Free Write 3-18: Describe your most awkward moment & how you felt at the time.

Warning: This is all real!

My most awkward moment was when I was once sleeping and I had straightened my hair for school. I then woke up to two things: My stepdad saying bye and him spilling his coffee all over my straight hair. I didn’t know at first because I thought it was a dream. But I opened my eyes. My stepdad didn’t know the cup was opened until I told him. He said it was an accident. I forgave him because it was 6 a.m. and I just wanted to forgive him. At that time, I was still sleeping on my mom’s bed so when she heard he spilled the coffee, she woke up right away. We tried a lot of perfume, but I still had the stench of coffee in my hair. I was pretty worried that someone would say something smelled like coffee and I would be embarrassed to say that it was my hair. I was lucky enough to survive that day. At least it wasn’t dog pee. Oops, I gave away the next one.

How can drama help you better understand the feelings and viewpoints of characters?

Cameran:Regular     Natasha:Bold

Drama helps better understand feelings and viewpoints of characters because it makes it more dynamic. Another reason why it helps to make it more dramatic is when it shows it’s mad, you say it mad and etc. Another reason why it helps to make it more dramatic is when the text has special punctuation. Another reason why it helps to make it more dramatic is when different people talk about the same thing but with different emotions. The last reason why it helps to make it more dramatic is when there are parentheses saying what is going on in a panicked, calm, or worried voice.

Drama helps me better understand feelings and viewpoints of characters by (for viewpoints) saying I, me, my, etc. for first person. Or the story, or play or whatever you’re reDSC_2486ading, could have Savanna/people that the narrator describes, her, him, she, he, etc. for third person. Another way it helps is the way the author writes the drama as if it was realistic or maybe make it into fiction with nothing real. Another is it sways the reader into believing one thing in the story until.. BOOM! The author changes the story to create drama. The last way is the tension the author brings when there is drama in a mystery like if someone stole something and throughout the whole story they lie about it.

I think that drama can help you better understand the feelings and viewpoints of characters by pictures. I also think that drama can help better understand the feelings and viewpoints of characters by scenes. Another way that drama can help better understand the feelings and viewpoints of characters by the excitement of the author. Drama can help with the way the author writes. The last way is drama can help construct the feelings and viewpoints of characters. bethelparkbobb_o via Compfight

“This is your pilot speaking. I would like to assure you that we are going to Africa. If you don’t want to go, get off now,” boomed the speakers. I didn’t want to go to Africa, I thought this was the plane to Colombia. But it was too late to get off now. The plane was taking off already. Oh well. I guess I’ll try Africa.

Sometime later we finally arrived and I went to ask someone to help me find a place to stay. “Tsmia louk,” some African woman said. I had no idea what she was talking about so I asked an old man walking by. “Tsmia louk.” Why is everyone saying this? I didn’t know so I wrote on a paper, “Can you read this? If yes, please help me find a place to stay.”

I showed this sign to everyone, but they said, “Miase vow?” which was a question to me.

About Natasha’s Avatar

ChibiMaker

I created my avatar on chibimaker.org.  I created the avatar with long, curly, brown hair because this is how my hair usually looks.  She’s wearing a blue dress because I love to dress up and blue is my favorite color.  I accessorized her with a cross necklace which represents my faith.  My family always calls me “Princess” so I decided to put a crown on my avatar.  I also added a heart in the background because I am loving and I am loved.

What is Your Partner’s Favorite Memory?

Julia:Italics Natasha:Bold

Hey, what is your favorite memory? That is what I asked my friend first. Well her favorite memory was visiting her dad in Florida. Then, I asked Julia what was her favorite memory. She told me it was when she was in Ukraine. That was our favorite memory.

Well Natasha’s favorite memory was visiting her dad in Florida. The first question I asked her was, “Do you go there alone or with your family?” The answer was, “I usually go there with my grandfather when he visits his mom and sister in Florida.” The next question was, “What do you do at your Dad’s house?” The answer was, “I usually play with my little brother and sister and uncle, too.” The next question was, “From when you were there last what was your favorite part?” Her answer was, “My favorite part was seeing my family in Florida.” Well if you think this is boring then listen to this. Guess what her next question was? Well it was why did she enjoy it. Her answer was pretty good too. It was I enjoyed it because it was a year and a half since I saw my dad and when I finally did, I was super happy.. Some other questions that I asked were good but if you really want to know them go ahead and read on. Awesome if you are reading on But if you are not your fine. Well the next question was, “When was the last time you were there?” She answer was the last time I was there was January 15, 2016. Well later I asked her when are you going there again. She answered in the summer. The next question and answer was Would you ever go there again? Yes because I want to see him a lot. The last question was are you interested going back and living with him and she said, “No because I love my family and friends here and I would have to learn the things they do there.” Well that is the questions and answers read on and figure out what my favorite memory is!!
After I asked Julia what her favorite memory was (which was when she was in Ukraine), I asked how long ago it was. She answered, “It was in 2011/4 years ago.” She also said she was with her family like her parents and brothers and sisters when I asked who she was with. After, I asked if Julia enjoyed it and why and she said that she did because she saw her cousins and other relatives. “Why were you there?” was the next question I asked. Her answer to THAT was “I visited my grandma.” She looked at me happily. Then, I asked if she would ever go there again and she said “Yes because I want to see my baby cousins and their families.” My second to last question was, “When do you think you’re going back?” “I want to go there in the summer in August,” was the reply back. What was her favorite part, you may be asking. I already asked and got the answer of, “My favorite part was when my cousin’s friend became friends with me and started to call me nice names.” Thank you for reading my paragraph. Please, if you haven’t read the other paragraph for some reason, READ IT! It has my favorite memory.
