Girls’ Code Club from the Science Factory

I just received this information:

The Science Factory is launching a new program focused on engaging girls 8-13 in computer science.  <Girls Code Club> involves 9 monthly Saturday meet-ups throughout the 2016-2017 school year, with a full week of summer camp as capstone.

We are hoping to recruit 25 eager learners and we have 5 need-based scholarships available.

This program might make a great connection with STEM initiatives you are currently spearheading with schools. You may already be aware of some girls who demonstrate strong interest in the field of computer science.

Any help spreading the word to teachers, counselors, and these girls and their families is greatly appreciated.  Please feel free to circulate.

Our first meet up is September 17th, and scholarship applications are due September 9th.

Thank you!
Emily & the Science Factory Team
