My Avatar

This is my new and improved avatar. I bet you are wondering why I have a tail and ears. Well I have those , because I LOVE animals !!  Especially foxes ! I bet you are also wondering why I have so much black and white. Well that is, because my two favorite colors are black and white. It is that simple. I am also holding a coffee cup, because whenever I wake up in the morning I am SUPER tired ! Although I don’t drink coffee. I have jeans on, because I love the cold, and love to play in the snow during the winter season. That is also why I am wearing a sweatshirt.

My Favorite Quote

This is another of my favorite quotes, because it inspires me to help other people and to not out myself down. It inspires me to do this, because no matter how many times I may fail I will always try to get back up again. Also this quote helps me get through very tough times. Like when I lose someone in my family or someone is hurt or has a broken bone. It tells me to keep on trying, and to not count how many times I fall.

If you are reading this please remember that it doesn’t matter about how many times you fall… matters how many times you get up. I hope that you will always remember this quote to help others. To get through tough times, and to even just say it to inspire someone else. Thanks for reading, bye !

Current Events Post: Storks the Movie

Storks deliver babies… at least they used to. Now they deliver all sorts of packages. When one stork Junior, activates the baby making lever. The machine makes one adorable baby that they can’t refuse to deliver. On this crazy, exciting, funny, and family-loving adventure. The storks are back.

I chose to write about this new movie, because I love to watch movies that aren’t like a remake of some original movie. For example remakes of Cinderella, Snow White, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, etc. To be honest I have never heard, or seen a movie that is about something from the past that is and looks entertaining. Another reason why I chose to write about this movie is , because I like to learn about how directors make animated movies. I also love how animated movies are made. Drawing all the pictures by hand ! WOW !

So I hope that I get to see this movie very soon. It looks like a great family movie. I can’t wait to see it !

My Important Quote

(Why fit in when you were born to stand out ?)

This is my favorite quote of all times, because it means a lot to me. Sometimes when I am sad I try to think of this quote by Dr. Seuss. It reminds me that I am not always going to be the same as everybody else. I am going to look different, act different, smile different, and mostly feel different. It also reminds me to just let go, and be myself as often as I can. This quote also inspires me to do more in my life.

This quote is also very meaningful to me, because before my grandma died. She would always tell me to just believe in myself, others, family, and friends. She also told me to always be myself no matter the circumstances. Another reason why this is very meaningful to me is, because my mom is always telling me not to try and be perfect. Sometimes it is hard to understand, and try to do this. While other times it is as easy as a piece of cake. So this is one of the most important and meaningful quotes to me.

Shout Out to Sue Waters

Hey guys, I just wanted to give a shout out to Sue Waters. She has been so AMAZING this year ! If you don’t know who Sue Waters is she is the greatest blog challenge maker EVER ! I want to give her a shout out because she has been really, really helpful. So far I have liked most of her challenges. Except the fortnight (2 week) challenge. That challenge was VERY hard. If you want to do some of her challenges click on the link below.⬇

Mr. Geiman’s Challenge

Q1) What did you learn about yourself this year?

I learned that I am a strong writer, and that I have a big imagination. At least that is what my teachers say. I also learned that I like to write about fantasy stories. I also know that I really don’t like writing informative stories. Because I am not good at listing facts down on paper, or a computer.

Q2) What areas did you grow in this year?

Some areas that I grew in were definitely reading and writing. Because when I look at my first post compared to my newest post I realize how much I have improved. At first it was just a couple sentences. Then it turned into a couple paragraphs.

Q3) What areas do you need to continue to grow in?

I think an area I need to grow in is writing informative and persuasive stories. Because I am not very good at listing facts and trying to make someone think what I think. Because in America you can have your own opinion. So I don’t think it is right for me to try and change it. I am also not very good at writing book reports. Because, like I said I’m not good at listing facts from a book or website.

Q4) What are your strengths?

I think that one of my strengths are spelling. I think spelling, because on my spelling tests I usually only get 1 to 3 wrong. Also because I can spell Mississippi forwards and backwards.

Q5) What are your weaknesses?

I think one of my weaknesses are getting a lot done. For example, when the blog challenge started. I was able to get mostly everything done. Although sometimes I couldn’t get all of it done. Like the fortnight (2 week) blog challenge. I could hardly get all of it done in 2 weeks.

Q6) What is your favorite class and why?

My 2 favorite classes are math and reading. I had to pick 2 classes because I can’t decide on one. I like reading a WHOLE lot. Although I like math A LOT too. So I couldn’t just pick one over the other. Science and Social Studies comes very close to math and reading.

Q7) Explain how you felt about blogging in the beginning and how you feel about it now.

In the beginning of the year I wasn’t very excited about blogging. I thought that the teacher just wanted a more fun way to write. So I wasn’t all that thrilled. But now I am REALLY sad that the blogging challenge is over. I can’t wait until the next one. Also when I compare my writing from the beginning of the year. It was TERRIBLE to what I can do now. I LOVE to blog !

Q8) What do you want to do better for next year?

Next year in 5th grade, if we keep blogging, I want to make my own challenges. Because the blog challenges are sort of easy, but mostly hard. I am going to make a blog over the summer with my friend. I am doing this so that I can get better at blogging, and be prepared for next year. Another thing that I want to do better for next year is to try harder. During this AMAZING blogging year, I didn’t always try my hardest at everything I did.

Q9) Which post/ story do you feel is your best. Explain why.

I think my best post/story is this post. I feel that this is my best because I am writing about what think of my blog. I am not writing about what other people think, just me. This is also my favorite post, because it took me a little longer. I also REALLY liked writing this post, because I got to go back and look at everything I did.

Week 9 Blog Challenge: My Future #16stubc

For the Week 9 Blog Challenge I chose to write on the topic my future. So in my future I want to be a baker. I LOVE baking pies, cakes, cupcakes, cookies and all the other yummy bakery treats. I also like to cook breakfast things. I like to cook eggs, bacon, hash browns, omelets, pancakes, and other breakfast things. I want my breakfast bakery to be called Abby’s Breakfast Bakery. I would want to have my sister, my mom, my dad, and my brothers working with me.

Another thing I want to be in my future is an artist. I like to paint and draw/color with colored pencils, crayons, marker, and pastels. I like to paint flowers, landscapes, and animals. I like to draw people, things from nature, and sports logos. I like to color animals, things from nature, and people. At my house I have an adult coloring book that is called Everyone Loves Coloring Animals. Although I don’t think that is true. I really like to color in that. So at my bakery I will have 1 or 2 booths were people can go and express their feelings through coloring.

Finally in my future I want to be a cello player. At my school, Blue Ball Elementary. I play in the Elementary Orchestra. I play the cello. If you don’t know what the cello is it is the really BIG string instrument. It is not the SUPER BIG one, but it is pretty big. The double bass (the bigger one) is on the left. The cello is on the right. I did this so that you can compare the sizes.

double basscelloSorry it is hard to

compare the sizes.

Well I hope you liked

this post, and this

what I want to be in

    my future.

The Big Read

At my school, Blue Ball Elementary, we are doing a program called the Big Read. The Big Read is when the whole school reads the same book. Also if they don’t have time to read the chapter they were supposed to read at home. They can go to the Blue Ball Elementary site, and they can listen to different teachers read that chapter. My homeroom teacher reads the last chapter. Last year we read Frindle. By Andrew Clements. Personally I thought that it was a fairly good book. This year we are reading The Lemonade War. It is about Evan Treski who is people smart, and his sister, Jessie, who is math smart. During the summer they decide to make a lemonade stand, but then Evan gets made a Jessie. You should definitely read this book sometimes. The author of this book is Jacqueline Davies. Finally I wanted to tell you that our 5th and 6th graders are having a competition to see who can sell the most lemonade. It is soooo cool ! 6th grade sells their lemonade for the first 2 weeks of May, and then the last 2 weeks 5th grade sells their lemonade. Every cup is 25 cents. The good thing about selling all of this lemonade, is that we are supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Alex’s Lemonade Stand is a lemonade stand that supports childhood cancer. We are trying to raise 2,000 dollars to give scientists a whole week of testing to find a cure for cancer. So this is what the Big Read is at our school.
