This is my ABC book for The Hate You Give.

I was matched up with the book ” The hate you give” by Angie Thomas.  As it started this girl named Starr was at a party with her friend Kenya. Their parents had a kid named Seven but they never married so they weren’t related. Starr felt really uncomfortable a this party because she didn’t know anyone there. She has transferred to the “white school” a couple years ago and barely remembers anyone. As Kenya starts talking to more people Starr feels very left out. At one point she talks to Kenya’s friends but she doesn’t like them. They smell like weed and alcohol and they don’t look the greatest. Then Kenya makes eye contact with this girl that she hadn’t liked since the fourth grade. She tried to pull Starr into the fight that they wanted to have. That’s when Starr realized Kenya didn’t even want her there, she only wanted backup during the fight. I haven’t gotten much farther I am only on page ten. I think it is a good book so far. I am very interested considering we are near the same age. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next.

I think that Romeo and Juliet could have lived a beautiful life if they would have been alive.  If Romeo had gotten the note I think they would have ran away together. After running away, their parents would have to team up together to try and find their children after the nurse told them that they had loved each other very much. Overtime, after teaming up they started to like each other more. They realized they had to be friendly to each other to find their children. After a while, they found Romeo and Juliet and they decided to break the feud they had going. Romeo and Juliet had children and lived near so their parents could be close. They watch their children grow up, grow old, and eventually die next to one another.

Washington D.C was great. I walked around with Maggie, Alexis F, and our moms. We had the best time ever. I taught Alexis how to moonwalk because the sidewalks were wet enough. It was really funny because we all had a lot of candy so we were going a little crazy. I think that one of the best parts of being there was seeing the Lincoln memorial. I think this because my moms great grandmother was a Lincoln so he is my ancestor. We took so many pictures that we filled up our space on our phones. After a little while we went to the air and space museum. Maggie, Alexis and I did a quiz on space. The first question we got three of them wrong, on the second question we got one wrong, and on the third question (the hardest one) we got then all right which was really surprising. The lady that was controlling the quiz was really surprised that we got that. She said that we were the fourth people to do that in the three years she had worked there. After we looked through the museum some more we went down to the shop they had. We bought some astronaut ice cream. It tasted like ice cream  but it was really weird because it was dry. Then after that we started to walk to the natural history museum. On our way we found a little space where they were selling sweatshirts. We wanted a blue sweatshirt at first but they only came in one size. Then, Maggie, Alexis and I decided we wanted the orange one. So we got the orange one and we were matching. Then, we had to get back on the bus. It was a fun ride home. We played mad libs, did stuff on our phone, took pictures, and made up a bunch of handshakes for three hours straight. It was really fun and I would do it again.

This is really the first year that my little brother Andrew will remember what we did during Easter. On Saturday that was our first Easter with our mother because she has to work every other holiday so she couldn’t be with us on Sunday. She gave Andrew a Mario and Luigi shirt and he was so happy he was running around all day. He actually put it on right after she took the tags off. He got a bunch of candy and some wrestlers but honestly he doesn’t like candy that much. His favorite thing that he got was the movie Ferdinand. He didn’t have even two m and m’s before he was jumping of the walls it was a fun day. On Sunday we dyed eggs and we went up to our cousins house.  Two of our cousins were at college and one was at work. Then there was only two left. They are 16 but we had a lot of fun. We ate and played Mario brothers because Andrew had to when he found out that they had a Wii. He was so happy. His favorite thing to do when we go there is look for the cat because their dog always makes it go hide so Andrew likes to find it. After a while we had dessert and went downstairs in their basement. We were doing some gymnastics because Andrew “definitely” knows how too. Then we would put music on and then dance and Andrew would bounce on the big stress ball. We had the best time and Andrew will remember it this time.  We had a lot of fun because our cousins don’t usually come around. Some live in Maryland and others live like an hour away so it was fun and we will see what happens next year.

One time that I stood up for my friend was when she just started to learn how to ride on roller blades. All of our friends including me could ride on roller blades. I was teaching her one day and our friends came around. They had their rollerblades on and asked if we wanted to go with them. We told them that I was teaching her to ride them. they all laughed and kept making fun of her because she couldn’t ride. Then I said to them. “What if this was you. What if you couldn’t ride your rollerblades and everyone laughed at you? Would you like everyone laughing at you? ” So then after a while my friend got the hang of it. We went to my friends and we all had  a great time.

One time we went to knoebels with our friends and family. We went on a bunch of rides and had a lot of fun. But then we took Andrew on the carousel. After that we couldn’t stop laughing because he wasted all his tickets on that. It was on of the silliest times we had together because all he did was ride on the carousel. Another thing we couldn’t stop laughing at was my stepdad. The first thing we did when we got there was run over to the tallest roller coaster there. My step dad went on right away will Trinity and Tre my friends. It went straight up and straight down. It was really funny because Ron screamed his lungs off. He is a thirty year old man and he was screaming his lungs off. Everyone was laughing so hard because Trinity and Tre didn’t scream at all and they are 11 and 13 years old. One other time we got dared to go on the highest wooden roller coaster and we had to ride in the front and on every turn and jump and drop me and Teressa kept flying out and she was singing the I Believe I Can Fly song and we couldn’t stop laughing after that it was really funny. There was one more really funny thing we got my grandmother to go in the haunted house with us and Trinity and I didn’t even scream that much maybe once but my grandmother was screaming the whole time and we couldn’t stop laughing after that. Then we told the rest of the family that didn’t go in and it was the funniest thing ever. Even my little brother started laughing. Well those were the time my family was weird and crazy.

He thinks that about everything that people say are bad and he has a rule for each of them. One It is my opinion that you should read Bud, Not Buddy by Christopher Paul Curtis. This takes place in the time period of the Great Depression in Flint,Michigan. I think that you will like the story because of how Bud acts.The main character is Bud and he is a ten year old child.He has gotten pushed around by the foster home and his many foster families but, then he escapes and finds that family he is looking for.I think you will like this book and Bud because he is very brave, funny, and sneaky.

I think that Bud is brave. The reason that I think Bud is brave is because when he gets to his new family they are mean to him. He finally finds a way to escape from them and is on the lam. I think that is brave because he could get found by one of the people from the home and get sent back or he could be found by one of the people he escaped from. He could also be found by the police and get in very big trouble.When he escaped from the people that took care of him he started walking. He walked in the night and in the woods. I think that is pretty brave, I wouldn’t walk in the woods at night all alone.  He wouldn’t be afraid of animals in the woods he would be fine. That is why I think that Bud is brave.

Brave is one  of  buds main qualitys but funny is one thiing that bud is very goof at.One of Bud’s rules are….Rules and things to have a funner life and make a better liar out of yourself #63 is “never,ever say something bad about someone you don’t know-especially when you’re around a bunch of strangers.You never can tell who might be kin to that person or who might be a lip-flapping, big-mouth spy.”

Being brave and funny are somethings that Bud is very good at but he is also very sneaky. Bud is very sneaky all the time. The reason that he is sneaky is because he is ten and he is afraid of somethings. He is afraid of some people around so he has to be very careful and sneaky. One part in the book he is very sneaky. When he was trying to get out of his new familys house without waking them up he was very sneaky. He removed the gun from the wall and had to open doors. He even turned on the water and filled a cup up. Even after that he took a risk and went into his “brothers” room and put water all over him so he had to be really sneaky.

So  in conclusion I think that you will like reading Bud, Not Buddy. Bud is brave, funny and sneaky. Also he is only ten. I think that his humor will get you laughing, his braveness will get you scared and his sneakyness will surprise you. Those are the things that I felt when I read this book. I hope you do too.

Dance Teacher/ Choreagrapher

If dancing is a career you’re interested in, be prepared to give a lot of effort because dancing requires patience, flexibility, and organization. Dancing is hard but it is really fun. You get to learn dances and they are super fun.

You need to have patience. The reason that you have to have patience is because the children don’t know how to do the moves right of the bat. You have to help them learn how to do the moves. 90% of the children that go into dance studios don’t know how to do most of the hard moves. You can’t get mad if the children don’t get it right the first time. They have to learn. It called dance class for a reason. They come to learn not get yelled at because they can’t do it. You have to be able to get the children to be able to do the dance on time. If they are in competiton then they have to get their dance done by then and if they are in a recital then they have to be done by then. You have to keep the kids from goofing of and you have to make them get down to work. That is why you have to have patience.

Having patience is important but being flexible is just as important.You need to be flexible to be a dance teacher/choreagrapher. The reason you have to be flexible is because if something goes wrong then you have to do what goes wrong. If someone is running the sound booth at the recital and then they need to preform then they dance teacher has to go up there and run that for the time the person is on the stage. If someone gets hurt or sick, the dance teacher knows the dance so the dance teacher would fill in for them. You also have to be physically flexible too. The reason that I say this is because in dance if you are not flexible it won’t look as good as it could. You have to get flexible because then you can teach the children more things. If you aren’t flexible then you won’t be able to teach the kids by showing then you would have to describe it to them but then they won’t be able to get it correctly because most kids need to see it. Most kids need to see what is happening to do it. I am not saying all kids need to see it but most of then need to be able too. That is why you have to be flexible.

Being flexible can help you a lot but you also have to be very organized.You also have to be organized. The reason that you have to be organized is because if your a dance teacher/ choreagrapher then you make a lot of dances and you have to write them down so that you don’t forget what you where thinking. If you aren’t organized then you won’t be able to find the papers that you wrote the dance on and then you will have to restart. You also have to be organized in the studio. ( or wherever you work) You get a lot of boxes because of the costumes and everything for the dancers. You can’t have boxes laying all over the floor. The dancers won’t be able to dance if you have stuff everywhere. You also have to be very organized with your space. If you don’t previde space then the dancers won’t be able to dance. That is why you have to be organized.  

If teaching dance is what you want to do then you have to have patience, flexibility and organization. If you aren’t any of those you will either be a big mess or you might want to try something different to get those skills up so you can be a dance teacher/ choreographer. Just know to never give up.

I think dance is a sport do you? I say this because just like any other sport they work your body and make your muscles stronger. Other people don’t think dance is a sport because we don’t run around and hurt people. Well that is wrong dance is a sport, we workout we get more flexible. Doing dance actually helps your brain. Other sports such as, basketball, football, and soccer can mess up your brain, you could get a concussion doing football, basketball, and soccer. The only thing that could probably hurt you is if you fall on the stage. People think that people get hurt to much while dancing. That isn’t true though we usually don’t fall in dance. We are in a higher level though. If you don’t feel comfortable in a higher level then you could stay in a lower level. Then you can work your way higher.  So to all the people out there who think dance isn’t a sport. Well it is.
