Title: My fourth grade garden

Have you ever wanted to have a fourth grade garden right outside the classroom? I will tell you some of the things that you need to know if we plant the garden. Like, where we will plant it, the plants and trees and environment that will be in it. It will be used for an outdoor experience when you learn.

This is where I would put my fourth grade garden. I would put the fourth grade garden right outside room 104. I would put it there because if it is a nice spring day outside the fourth grade can go outside do work and relax. I would also put it there because it has easy access to get to the garden. Plus, it is a good place to put it because if we put it any other place it will probably get wrecked by other grades. For example if we put it right outside room 102 when we have a fire drill or a real fire that area will be blocked. Then we would be blocked.

This is all the plants that I would plant in my garden. The first tree that I would put in the garden is the Allegheny Serviceberry. The Allegheny Serviceberry blooms March-May.I would put 2 of the Allegheny Serviceberry in the garden. The Allegheny Serviceberry gets up to about 25 feet in the air. The Allegheny Serviceberry has white creamy flowers that do not need much water. One of the other shrubs that I am going to put in the garden. The name of the shrub is the Eastern redbud. The Eastern redbud blooms in the early spring . The Eastern redbud gets up to about 20-35 feet in the air. I would put 2 of the Eastern redbud in my garden. The Eastern redbud has pink leaves that look like bubblegum. One of the other shrubs that I am going to plant is the New Jersey tea. The New Jersey Tea blooms in May-July. The New Jersey Tea has white creamy flowers just like the Allegheny serviceberry tree. The New Jersey Tea does not need much water at all.

This is all the information that you need to know if you ever want to plant my garden. In my opinion I think that the garden would be a great addition to Blue Ball Elementary school.

The amazing World of penguins

Have you ever wanted to learn about penguins? Well now is your time to learn about penguins! Did you know that penguins can dive up to 2,000 feet in the water?   This bird can’t fly but it can fly threw the water.  Penguins can also stand 3 feet tall and weigh up to 100 pounds, cool right! The penguin lives in the Antarctica which makes it challenging for the penguin to live because the really harsh weather. To find out more about penguins KEEP READING.

Antarctica has the most harsh weather that only the penguin can live in.  The weather in Antarctica is -75 degrees below 0. Bright ice and snow covers a lot of land.  The temperature never  goes above 32 degrees F.  Antarctica covers 5,400,000 square miles. Antarctica is the windiest place on Earth.  Antarctica has the highest elevation.  It is about 7,500. This habitat makes it a challenge for the penguins.

This paragraph is about the Emperor Penguin adaptations.  The warm feathers on the outside of the penguins and the inside help from not dying of freezing weather.  The camouflage on a penguin helps it from getting eaten.  Their black backs help when they are swimming at the bottom of the ocean it because when the prey are down looking for penguins all it sees is a black back that blends into the bottom of the ocean. Their white bellies blend in with the skie, so when the prey are coming up from trying to get the penguin at the bottom it will see the white belly that blends into the skie.  Another adaptation that the penguin has is its body shape like a torpedo. Their torpedo like body helps them dive really deep.  The distance they can dive is about 2,000 feet down in the ocean. That is all I have for the penguins adaptations.

There are a lot of fantastic facts about penguins and here are some of them! The penguin egg is the size of a avocado. When the penguins get in the group huddle it can get up to 100 degrees f. They rarely feed chicks that are not theirs. They find penguins by testing their pooooooooooooop.! Ooooooooooooow. The female only lays one egg at a time.

That is all I have about penguins for today. I hope you learned and remember a good chunk of facts that I just gave you. Hope you keep reading about penguins!

The Titanic

Hi, my name is snowball, captain Snowball.   I was the captain on the titanic.  And I would like to tell a story about my survival.  So it all began in england 1912 all the first class members boarded the ship first. Then all the second class people boarded next.  Then the third class people. Then the captain Snowball and his best friend cooper and his girlfriend Madison boarded. Then snowballs  crew boarded next . Then we took off and we went 30 miles an hour and everybody started to scream. So the next day I was sitting on the titanic’s deck drinking coffee when we hit the iceberg. So when the assistant captain came to tell me that we hit the iceberg I was in shock! So About 2 hours later the titanic filled with water.  So I went down to the dining room to help empty out some water when one of my crew members yelled captain we need your help getting all these kids and women on to the lifeboats. So when the almost all the kids and women were on the  lifeboats all the men went to the bottom of the ship and tried  to get all the water out of the boat.  All the men could not get all the water out of the boat so all the men went to the deck of the titanic and we all jumped off.  We all swam to find a lifeboat and me and some of the other men found a lifeboat and sailed on the water till a big rescue ship came and saved me and the other people on the lifeboat. So when we got on the lifeboat they had good food and blankets and dry clothes. And the rescue boat sailed to new york city. When we got to new york city I explored the city of new york.
