See Think Wonder : Egypt Pyramids And Sphinx

Name: Joe

Expedition Name Text Title
Egypt Seeker Of Knowledge

What do you SEE?

(Describe what you see using WOW words)

I saw three enormous pyramids.  Then I saw a humongous desert.

What do you THINK?

(As you are experiencing VR tell your audience in detail what you are thinking using sequence words. First, Next, Last)

First I thought about how the \Egyptians  built the pyramids. Next I thought  why they were so big.  Last I thought how long exactly it took to build the pyramids.

What do you WONDER?

(During your expedition what are you wondering about? What questions come to your mind?)

I wondered  why the pyramids were that big?

Text Connections

What did you SEE in the Expedition that you can CONNECT to the text?

(Be sure to cite specific examples from the expedition and the text)

In the text we learned about the hieroglyphics And in the VR we saw where they were written on the pyramids.

How do you THINK the Expedition enhanced your understanding of the text?

(Be sure to use evidence from the text to support your response)

It enhanced my understanding because I got to see the pyramids with my eyes.

What do you still WONDER after experiencing the Expedition and reading the text?

(Write a reflection to extend your thinking i.e. What are you still curious about? What more do you want to know?)

I wonder how long it took them to understand the hieroglyphics as the language?

  1. Hi Joe,
I I am your blogging mentor for the 2017 Blogging Challenge.I live in a rural area in Victoria, Australia. We are close to the ocean and I walk, run and cycle around the area every chance I get.
I agree with your title, ‘Where writing gets awesome’. It sure does! I have really enjoyed reading your blog posts. Being a teacher I have also liked reading your text connections and seeing how you investigate texts and record what you are learning and thinking about.

    Happy Blogging!
