About the Librarian

My name is Leah Tenenbaum and I am the librarian at Blue Ball Elementary.  Since joining the ELANCO family in 2015, I have greatly enjoyed my time getting to know students and families.

Prior to joining the Blue Ball Elementary team, I was the elementary librarian in the Columbia Borough School District for two years. I have also taught for several years in preschool and pre-kindergarten classrooms.  I attended Millersville University for Elementary Education and Mansfield University for a Master’s of Education in School Library and Information Technology.  I am currently taking graduate courses through Wilkes University to obtain a Master’s of Education in Instructional Technology.

I am looking forward to an exciting and fun school year.  In the library, students will work on a variety of skills and concepts.  Many components in our elementary library curriculum are geared toward helping our students become 21st century learners and effective users of technology.  In the library, students will not only be introduced to quality children’s literature, but also learn how to use online research tools.  With a wide range of lessons and activities, the library is the place to be!
