PURDUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By Mae

This summer I went to Indiana for something like school for two weeks.  It was at a college called Purdue.   My cousin, Ethan, did the school too, although we called it a camp.  My  Aunt Rachie lived in indiana where the school is located.  She also worked as a teacher for the college students at Purdue.  Ethan and I got to stay at her house, and every weekday she would drive us there.  On the weekends we did fun things, like visit museums, and after camp we also did fun things, though we didn’t go to any museums.  Camp started at 8:30 A.M. and ended at 5:00, so we didn’t have enough time.

The day I arrived we didn’t do much.  We said hi, gave hugs, and played with her little dog Toby.   Then we unpacked.  My mom had driven us there and was planning on staying until Sunday.  We arrived on Friday.  After we had finished deciding who would sleep where, unpacking, eating, resting, and talking, we decided to walk down to the bog.  There was a bog called the celery bog about a mile away.  When we got there we stopped to read a sign about the wildlife.  Along the way we saw turtles, frogs, sandpipers, muskrats, rabbits, deer, and one of the deer we saw was a doe that was like twenty feet away.  For dinner we had chicken nuggets. Her friend,  was going to go to the wolf park for the show that night and she had tickets, but then she found out she had some work due that night, so she gave us the tickets instead.

When we got there, we looked at the red and gray foxes first. One of the red foxes had probably (and illegally) been at a fur farm for when they first held out a crate to him. Also, his fur was black. His name was Joker. When it was time for the show to start, we left the foxes and got the wolves to howl. We watched as they played. The girl, Fiona, chased some young geese into the water. She swam in after them. None of them could fly yet, and it was great entertainment watching her chase them. Eventually she got tired though, and left the water without  food. Her brothers ran up to meet her. After she shook off, they began playing tag. Fiona was it and she ran as fast as she could.
