My goal was to exercise a lot this week and get into a good shape. I finished that goal! On everyday this week, I went out and did some kind of exercise! I am super happy that I completed this goal! I made it to my goal because my mom told me that we were going to Petra Church to walk around the field, (they have a walking path), and when she said that it made me remember my goal.

I measured my goal by how many miles I walked each day or how much exercise I got. Tuesday, my mom and I did one mile. On Wednesday, it was exercise day and we did a lot of exercise! Finally, on Thursday we did two miles around Petra’s walking path!

After I finished my goal, I felt amazing! I really felt happier whenever I went on a walk. Also going with my mom and having her by my side made me feel more encouraged. My next steps are to continue walking or exercising everyday! I want to at least do one mile per day!

My goal is to exercise more. I really want to start going on runs with my mom because she is always asking me to go with her. I also need to start running because my dog, Coco, needs lots of exercise. I really like going on bike rides so that would be a good way. Running, walking, and biking are all good ways to get some exercise in. Josh, my brother, had soccer practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays at our church. The church has a big walking path that goes around the whole church. I can do that one or two times.

I really like to run around and get my legs moving. Most of the times, Coco makes me run really fast. My dad thinks that I would be really good in track and field and I think so too. Exercising is really important to me because I don’t want to be a couch potato. I want to be running around and staying fit.

That’s my goal, what I’m going to do about it, and how it’s important to me. What’s your goal?

I chose Antigua and Barbuda because it is a beautiful place and we might go there someday. There are a lot of cool things to do there. Some include hiking, biking, and going to the beach of course! The resort we might go to is call Jolly Beach Resort & Spa. It is very good and we are going to to have a lot of fun.

The waters there are super clear and the sands are super white. We might go to some coral reefs to see all the fish and sealife there. I really love animals and there are a lot of animals there that I have never seen before. They also might have a lot of exotic foods there are many yummy foods! I hope we end up going someday. Also, since Jolly Beach Resort & Spa have a pool right next to the beach, we might go in there.

Antigua and Barbuda are in the Caribbean Sea and that means that the water is going to be really warm. Did you know that they unsalten the sea water to make it useable? Well, they do! That’s how they get their drinking water and water they use to water their plants. Also, the plant life in Antigua and Barbuda are very expansive. There is a lot of plants there.

My dad likes learning about plants are doing lots of experiments on them. My mom really like to travel. So does my brother. I really like the beaches there. I hope you enjoyed listening to me ramble on about why I chose Antigua and Barbuda for my country, thank you for reading, bye!

What is that flapping its wings?  A monarch butterfly!!!! Monarch butterflies need YOUR help! First, they have an interesting life cycle. Next, people should plant milkweed. Last, avoid pesticides and keep trees.

 

First, Monarch butterflies have an interesting life cycle. First there is an egg.  Then the egg becomes a caterpillar.  Then the skin gets too big for its caterpillar and then they molt. The new layer after the caterpillar is called a chrysalis. After the chrysalis is a butterfly.  Their wingspan is 3 ⅜ -4 ⅞ inches.

 

Next, people should plant milkweed to help the monarch butterflies. Monarchs feed on milkweed. You can plant milkweed near parks, lakes, rivers, and golf courses (with permission). Milkweed is also needed to lay eggs.

 

Last, people should avoid pesticides and keep trees! Monarchs sometimes live in the trees. Don’t cut down trees monarchs need them. Don’t spray pesticides, it will hurt them.
