So far we have received the following items for our adopted Christmas child. A coat, an outfit, hat and gloves. Other items we are still looking for are sneakers (size 1), socks, Nerf Guns, Hot Wheels, Books (2nd Grade reading level) and race car tracks. Thank you for your help with purchasing these items. I will be sending home an updated list on Friday and will update the blog on Tuesday before the holiday weekend in case anyone is out shopping over the break.
We had a great time last week celebrating Grandparents Day in second grade! The students listened the story “The Hello Goodbye Window” with their grandparents. We then enjoyed a light snack and the students got to create their own foam frames for their picture with their grandparents. It was wonderful to see the interactions between the generations. Here are some pictures from our special day!
Welcome back students! I am so excited to have another year to work with all of the students! We have lots of fun things planned for second grade. As we get back into the swing of things, please be on the lookout for lots of paper from the office as well as 2nd grade. We have some big events coming up next week with Meet the Teacher Night on September 7th from 6-8, and our Grandparents Tea on September 8th from 9:30-10:30! I’m looking forward to a great year!
