Census

The Census is what the Federal Government does and uses to find out how much money is needed to benefit every person or family in their state. The amount given to each state also goes towards community-based programs. One example is WIC. This is They do this once every 10 years.

It is important to count Americans because the Federal Government will know how much money they have to give out, but if they aren’t counted, then the opposite of this will happen. This impacts the Federal Government because they will not distribute enough money to all families and a lot of people will probably not get any because they weren’t counted into the Census. Even schools, daycares, hospitals, and many more might not get any money to provide people that they take care of with their essential needs.

How I can help my neighbors while maintaining Social Distancing

I can help out my neighbors by calling them or asking my parents to call them to see if they need any supplies and what they need. Some supplies could include food, drinks (water, juice, soda), disinfecting wipes, hand sanitizer, soap, toiletries, and household cleaning supplies. When we get the supplies, we’ll drop it at their front door, go back to our house, then call and tell them that the supplies are at their front door.  My mom has already helped our neighbors by shopping for them whenever she could, and our neighbors have helped us by giving us homemade masks in return.

This is how I can help and have already helped out my neighbors during this time while maintaining social distancing.

Niagara Falls

In 2017 I visited Niagara Falls for my uncle’s birthday, so today I am going to tell you about the place. I am excited to share with you the awesome things about it!

Niagara Falls is located in Niagara Falls, New York. The times that Niagara Falls (the waterfalls) itself is open is all the time. Most attractions are open between late morning (9:00 A.M) till late afternoon (6:00 P.M). Niagara Falls is not closed on any specific day, so its open 24 hours, 7 days a week all year round. During the winter, you can see the waterfalls just about fully frozen which looks amazing!

Admission fees for adults are $46.00, admission fees for children ages 6-12 are $35.00, and admission fees for children 5 and under are free. There are different parking lots at Niagara Falls. Parking lots 1, 2, and 3. The price of parking lot 1 is $10.00, the price of parking lot 2 is also $10.00, and the price of parking lot 3 is $8.00. All prices are in Canadian currency.

Some important things the bring are cameras (preferred to be waterproof), water, and travel-sized snacks. The reason why you would want these items is because of all the attractions and things to see. Waterproof cameras are recommended because there are a lot of activities that include water at Niagara Falls. You would want water, especially when you go on warm or hot days. If you bring only enough money for you to get in, then you should bring some snacks to eat if you get hungry.

Things that you must see at Niagara Falls are the 3 waterfalls(Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls), Maid of the Mist, Cave of the Winds, Butterfly Conservatory, Zombie Attack, Niagara SkyWheel, Journey behind the Falls, Clifton Hill, Rainbow Bridge, Dinosaur Adventure Golf, and many more! Like I said in the 2nd paragraph, the waterfalls become almost completely frozen. If you are looking forward to seeing everything at Niagara Falls, you would need about 1 to 2 days.

I hope that my report has told you enough about Niagara Falls and all things good about it!

The Decloration Of Independence

The Declaration Of independence

     By: Isaac Adames

The United States Declaration Of Independence is the statement adopted by the Second Continental Congress meeting at the Pennsylvania State House in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776. The Declaration announced that the thirteen American colonies at war with the Kingdom of Great Britain would not regard themselves as thirteen independent sovereign states no longer under British rule. With the Declaration, these states formed a new nation the United States of America.

Four months later, President Lincoln made a special trip to Gettysburg to dedicate a cemetery on the battlefield. He also made a speech that became very famous. It is called the Gettysburg Address.

Tax Revenue

 Tax Revenue

Tax revenue is the income that is gained by government  through taxation. Taxation is the primary source of income for a state. Revenue may be extracted from sources such as individuals, public enterprises, trade, royalties on natural resources and/or foreign aid. An inefficient collection of taxes is greater in countries characterized by poverty, a large agricultural sector and large amounts of foreign aid.

Just as there are different types of tax, the form in which tax revenue is collected also differs; furthermore, the agency that collects the tax may not be part of central government, but may be a third party licensed to collect tax which they themselves will use. For example, in the UK, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing  Agency (DVLA) collects vehicle excise  duty, which is then passed onto HM Treasury.

The Cree Native Amercian

    Cree Native Americans

My name is Isaac and I am in The Cree, and I am a Native American.  The Cree is one of the largest groups of the first nations in North America with over 200,000!! members living in Canada. There was a lot of members.

First I went to Canada. The major proportion of Cree in Canada live North and west of Lake Superior, in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Albert and the Northwest Territories. A lot live in Quebec, 38,000. When I was in the U.S, I saw the Algonquian-speaking people.

I asked one of them, “Where do  you live?”. One of them said, “We historically lived from Lake Superior Westward”. “Now we mostly live in Montana. “Where we share a reservation with the Ojibwe. I said, “Ok”

“The documented Westward migration over time has been strongly associated with their roles.” “As traders and hunters in the North American fur trade”, one of the members said. That’s amazing! I left off to look for food.

“Well, the cree are generally divided into eight equal groups based on dialect and region”, I said to myself.  “I guess I am going to have to find some shelter and food and water and go on with my life.” The End.

Thanksgiving Letter

 Thanksgiving Letter

I am thankful for food, family, and God.

I am thankful for the food that I have because if I didn’t have food, I could die because I had no food.

I am thankful for my family because they help me when I am having trouble with something.

I am thankful for God because god gave me my life, and If I didn’t have God with me, I wouldn’t have a life.

I am thankful for all these things because if I didn’t have these things, I wouldn’t be the same as I am now.

The Titanic

  The Titanic

On the 10th of April in 1912, there was a gigantic ship. There were more than 2,000 people on this huge British passenger liner ship, The Titanic. The Titanic was under the command of Edward Smith. I was on the Titanic one night.

It was cool being on the Titanic. My friend came on with me. After we left Southampton on 4-10-1912, we called Cherbourg in France and Queenstown in Ireland before the Titanic left to New York. It took a long time to build the Titanic.

It costs an estimate of $200 million. I went outside of the Titanic, and saw dolphins and humpback whales coming out on top of the water. Then a family of Blue Whale popped out of the water and splashed some people. People were wet.

Edward  Smith was just controlling the titanic, and all of a sudden, he hit an iceberg! Everyone was panicking and SCREAMING!!! Edward Smith said, “Don’t panic.” Everyone stopped. He said, “It’s just an iceberg.”

Then, he started to move around. “What is going on?” he said. He out on the side and he said, “NOOOOO!!!!” He walked back in and told everyone to rush out onto a lifeboat.

Not everyone made it out onto a boat because there was no space. So some people jumped out and just swam. Then, Edward Smith and some people went down with it. The Titanic was holding more than 2,000 people and there was only 20 lifeboats.

Me and my friend survived the sinking of The Titanic. Everyone was sad for all of the people that didn’t survive. Me and my friend went back and played games at our house. We and most of the people lived our lives.

Everyone was happy. The End.
